Itching Hemorrhoid
Hemorrhoid brings along with its painful condition, persistent itching. This itching will be found in the rectum, in the anus and in the area around the anus. This is a very uncomfortable feeling and the natural urge will be to scratch it now and then. Why does it itch when you have a hemorrhoid? This is because, the swollen veins around the anus will be having clotted blood in them and this condition is called thrombosed hemorrhoid. This causes itching and lumps also will be found near the anus.
If you get rid of the hemorrhoid the itching will stop automatically. The unbearable pain that comes with a hemorrhoid and also the discomfort in sleeping and in moving around, have to be attended first. Why did you get a hemorrhoid? If you are an old person this is due to the tissues around the anus getting weak and becoming incapable of rigidly supporting the veins that run around the rectum. If you are a pregnant lady you may be having this painful condition due to increased pressure of blood to the veins around the anus. This may result in the veins to become swollen and sometimes you may pass blood with stools. If you are a perverted person pursuing anal sex then please stop that as this is the prime reason for getting your blood vessels around the anus all swollen up.
Apart from these reasons life style and food habits bring upon us painful and itching hemorrhoids. If you are a person with excessive weight then you may have this problem. Lack of exercise combined with constantly sitting at one place will bring this condition to any one. Even standing at a same place for a long time will put pressure on the hemorrhoids and you will start itching in the area around the anus.
Hemorrhoids do not come and land upon you on a single day all of a sudden. There will be warning symptoms before the immensely painful condition starts and one of the first symptoms is itching around the anus. You may be trying out some ointments for the itching but this will not be of any use. Please note that this is neither a bacterial infection nor a fungal infection. Blood clots in the veins around the anus are giving you this itching and do not try to ignore this. Immediately change your food habits and include more fiber in your diet. This is the only safe route for curing the hemorrhoid and a long term permanent solution too. Spend some time on exercise as well and you will loose the unnecessary weight. This will ensure that less pressure is put on the veins and the hemorrhoids get cured automatically.
Ointments available in the market will stop the itching. You can use Aloe Vera cream to apply on the area around the anus and you can also try Vitamin E oil upon the hemorrhoid. This being a natural astringent, will shrink the hemorrhoid and give you the much needed relief. A hot water treatment is always pleasant for getting rid of the itching.
