Hemorrhoids Causes
Hemorrhoid is a painful condition of the rectum that is caused by the swelling up of the veins in the anal cavity and also the veins that surround the rectum. Usually there is an accompanying constipation and there will be great difficulty in passing of stools. Some times blood is also passed with stools and there is too much of itching and irritation in the area around the anus.
For the old people the tissues around the rectum loose their grip and support due to old age. This will result in the swelling up of the veins around the rectum and a painful condition will be experienced. There will be acute constipation and passing of stools will be an arduous task.
Pregnant ladies do experience this condition and the veins swell up around the anus. But this will not be a persistent problem for them thankfully. Once they are over with the delivery of the child their problems will vanish. Fat persons do get these problems often in a very sever form. They do not do any exercise and that is the reason why they develop hemorrhoids.
Some times those people who have a weak abdomen and have very weak veins around the rectum will experience this condition when they lift some weight. The hemorrhoid problem can be averted if they simply avoid lifting weights.
Now look at the common causes of hemorrhoids in most people. This can only be said to be a condition that occurs due to total lack of health consciousness. Some people do not quit smoking even after being advised by doctors that it is bad for their hemorrhoid. The condition does not occur all of a sudden. Constipation that occurs due to lack of adequate water intake will cause severe problems. It will be difficult to pass the stools and when the patient strains too much to pass stools the veins around the rectum become swollen. It is essential that adequate water must be drunk to avoid this condition. People who work in hot climate and also in processes that involve much heat need to drink lots and lots of water as their digestive process may be hit and they may develop constipation. Constipation is the mother of most types of hemorrhoids.
The dietary habits of people need to be changed drastically. Eating high fat foods, fried foods, junk food and drink colas instead of water are prone to get hemorrhoids
People who do not eat vegetables and avoid fruits are likely to get this condition. This is not a disease but only a condition brought upon our self by our careless eating habits and mindless drinking of alcoholic beverages.
The role of fiber is very important that would help you to come over your problem. Fiber will increase the bulk of the stools and allow its easy passage. This fiber is called as dietary fiber and is found in leafy green vegetables, coarse grains and fruits.
